Qi Gong in daily practice with Dr Patrick Price.
Qi Gong is the Chinese based system of slow, rhythmic movements and diaphragmatic breathing. It teaches proper mechanics and flow of internal energy which is called CHI or QI. The practice of Qi Gong is considered a mental and spiritual practice, but can be very physical as well. Well over 5,000 years ago the Taoist practiced Qi Gong to strengthen their bodies and calm their mind. Many consider this a technique for relaxation, meditation and balance. The benefits are endless when used in a daily routine and it can be practiced by all ages.
Tai Chi is the sister system of study with equal benefits. The movements of Tai Chi can be more dynamic, which can be slow or fast. It is also considered an art of self-defense.
The movements also bring great freedom of movement to your body, allowing you to move like a young vibrate person.
Over time, Qi Gong takes root and imbues youthfulness where once the hardness of aging withered all chances for longevity. The ancient art of Tai Chi softens and renews as concentration of the “chi” rejuvenates the body, mind, and spirit.
Dating back to the 14th century, Yang Tai Chi sought health in moderation. Health and balance is achieved by forming body movements that are not extreme, but gentle and cleansing.
Challenge yourself, you will be glad you did and your body and mind will thank you.
Dr Patrick Price is a practicing chiropractor and martial arts master who teaches all his patients Qi Gong in his Houston, TX office. He uses basic movements of Qi Gong to assist them in their healing process. He believes there is no better practice for someone in the rehabilitation of their body, mind and soul to do. Along with stretching and resistance training you can completely heal your body. Qi Gong goes a step further in this process by introducing to patients meditative movements with specific breathing methods. Slowing down their mind, breathing more distinctly and bringing peace to their soul. It is this fast pace lifestyle that has created stress and opened the door to illness and imbalance.
Dr Price challenges you to make change and create a life that is more enjoyable and easy to manage.
