First up is Fungalytic Compound.

This is one the patients’ favorites and of course mine too. Fungalytic compound is a powerful product and can be taken often to assist your immune system in these times of food stress.

Fungalytic compound is a strong anti-fungal.

Pathogenic fungi can invade and cause disease in a healthy person at any time. When a person’s immune system is suppressed you truly can become a target for these opportunistic pathogens. Candida, Cryptococcus, and Aspergillus are the most common fungi related invaders. They all have the ability to produce poisons called mycotoxins (Mold). Fungalytic C. is a potent antifungal formula for both internal and external infections. Fungal infections may be localized initially, but most of the fungal pathogens have potential to create a systemic infection. Athlete’s foot and ringworms are effectively treated with topical applications. Toenail fungi, which are imbedded in the dermis layer beneath the nail, require internal dosing for lasting relief.

Fungalytic C. is strongly recommended for respiratory system conditions where the blood, liver and kidneys are involved. This formula is used so widely in our office for gastrointestinal infections, which are usually these fungi like mold and yeast that have overgrown and have now become pathogens.

When the gut is involved we usually use the C-Pel formula as well. C-Pel is particularly better for eliminating Candida. When the yeast cells have become systemic, both formulas are usually needed to tackle this invader. For a fungal nasal/sinus infection, Fungalytic C. can be made in diluted formula and used as a flush for the nasal and sinus cavities. This strong formula used on a regular basis will help the body to deal with the fungal infections and with the help of Liver Health products will help the body with the elimination of toxins.

This compound can be used for up to six weeks at a time and then it should be switched with an alternative formula such as C-Pel.

C-Pel

C-Pel is the brother of Fungalytic C., they work hand and hand with each other. It is an antifungal, antibacterial bitter tonic. It is mainly used in the cases of Candida overgrowth. After using Fungalytic C. it is always good to start with regular dosages of C-Pel. It is especially useful for gut infections related to Candida infections, since it is by far the most common of fungi infections.

Candida is known to infect the mucous membranes of the mouth, GI tract, vagina, urinary system, and respiratory system. The invading yeast colonies produce inflammation of the mucosa and release toxins which can be absorbed into the bloodstream. If Candida toxins become bloodborne, the patient may experience allergies, headaches, memory impairment (mental fogginess), chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, low libido, and depression.

Candida infections are a primary complicating factor in AIDS, cancer, pneumonia, auto immune conditions and or other hospitalized patients leading to early death. Candida albicans normally resides in our GI tract and lives by eating dead tissue rather than living matter, however when the GI tract undergoes ecological change (usually from antibiotics), Candida changes into a pathogen. The yeast, which is normally harmless, now interferes with homeostasis of the body.

Other causes for Candida infection include the use of steroids, birth control pills, and a diet high in refined sugar. To prevent the onset of Candida overgrowth, C-Pel along with a dosage of high quality Probiotics can be taken when antibiotics are used.

So, taking Fungalytic compound with C-Pel can help to save the day.

VIRA-PEL

This is an antiviral, Immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory, liver protector and expectorant herbal formula.

This compound possesses both antiviral and immunostimulating activity and is primarily chosen for its effectiveness against systemic (blood borne) viruses. The complex nature of treating viral infections is inhibiting the replication of the virus without affecting the viability or functioning of the host cell. The underlying advantage of certain therapeutic herbal remedies is the selective toxicity when compared to the pharmaceutical antivirals. Only a few drugs have been developed as an “anti-viral” because viruses harbor and infect living cells, especially when synthetically created. A pharmaceutical agent that kills the virus usually kills the human host cell, leading to widespread tissue damage. The Herpes viruses including Simplex Type I and Type 2, Epstein-Barr are commonly found in clinical practice today. When you relieve symptoms of these viruses, it doesn’t mean that the virus is eliminated. The virus can remain dormant and break out again when the host’s immunity becomes compromised.

VIRA-PEL contains antiviral properties that provide specific therapeutic actions such as blocking viral receptor sites, so they are unable to attach to the host cell and inhibiting viral enzymes, much like the ability of Olive Leaf to inhibit viral protease and Echinacea’s ability to inhibit hyaluronidase. Non-specific mechanisms of action include stimulating cellular resistance, interferon production, and humoral and cell-mediated immunity.

Viral-induced immunosuppression results when infecting viruses either alter the immune responsiveness of lymphocytes or decrease the numbers of lymphocytes. The Retroviruses are mildly invasive by themselves and are usually secondary to infection with Herpes viruses. Some viruses called Oncogenic viruses alter cell growth, cell surface antigens, and biochemical processes. They introduce “activating factors” which induce gene expression, resulting in tumor development and malignancy. The most common oncoviruses are the Retroviruses, Herpes viruses, Hepatitis C virus, and Human T-Cell Leukemia virus. In some cases, autoimmunity has been linked to viral infection, as in the connection between Epstein-Barr infections and late onset Multiple Sclerosis.

Some scientists believe there are no viruses, just the specific antibodies with identification of nucleic acids, and no real “virus” has been isolated. There are only “synthetic” man-made viruses. Just ask biochemist Judy Mikovits, who wrote the book Plague and Ending Plague.

VIRA-PEL is also effective against respiratory viruses (Rhinoviruses, Coronaviruses, Adenoviruses, etc.), although Coryzaborant and Kid Cold target these conditions more specifically. It actively inhibits Herpes taken internally or topically for skin lesions. VIRA-PEL does play an important role in respect to viral remission and immune support.

INF-FIGHTER

This herbal formula is antimicrobial, Immunostimulant and an anti-inflammatory. It is a natural alternative to antibiotics; INF-Fighter provides a wide-spectrum of antibacterial activity and will aid and support the natural process of defense and immunity. It is a powerful alternative formula with distinct value in cases of blood poisoning, skin and mucosal ulcerations and more. These herbs have been demonstrated to inhibit the absorption of septic agents and improve the character of the blood. In the past, natural physicians highly recommended these herbs for disorders of the reticuloendothelial system; pharyngitis, tonsillitis, lymphadenopathy, etc. This formula is very strong at working against bacterial infections.

Bacteria can replicate very rapidly, sometimes doubling their population in just 5 minutes. They have the ability to learn, adapt and resist the single chemical antibiotic. The major advantage of antibacterial herbs is their complex nature. There are over 20 known alkaloids in Goldenseal Root, 35 known active components in Echinacea Root, and over 60 biological phenolic constituents in Chaparral Leaf. This compound also provides immune-enhancing properties. It elicits both a Humoral and Cell-mediated immunity, increasing leukocyte (white blood cells) and blood macrophage levels.

The use of antibiotics will often destroy the beneficial bacterial in the GI tract, creating a whole other problem. INF-Fighter does not harm the intestinal flora—in fact it can be used after a round of antibiotics has been used to help restore gut balance again.

There are many other uses for INF-Fighter, some of which include; infected wounds, fever, diarrhea, stomach ulcers, colitis, skin boils, acne, tooth abscesses, gum disease, tonsillitis, throat infections, bronchitis, ear infections, sinusitis, conjunctivitis, breast infections, pelvic inflammatory diseases, Chlamydiae, venereal diseases, animal and snake bites, Lyme Disease, vaccine reactions, tumors, etc. The list is endless in its uses.

Many colon conditions like Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis have been treated by doctors that reported this formula had significantly reduced bowel hemorrhaging.

KID COLD

This blend is an Immunostimulant, and has antimicrobial, anticatarrhal (mucus removal ability). This herbal compound was developed as a secondary remedy to treat respiratory viral infections, yet it is milder than Coryzaborant, but easier to give to children for taste reasons.

Kid Cold provides therapeutic actions to relieve mucus conditions of the ears, nose, and throat. Upper respiratory infections and ear infections are common problems that affect children. As a child develops, their immune system strengthens in time. However, poor dietary habits, food allergies, immunization reactions, GMO foods and over-use of antibiotics will hinder the development of a healthy immune system. Kid cold will provide support for immunity, inhibit microbial growth and relieve mucus congestion. It is indicated for colds, sore throats, low grade fevers, and ear infections.

Goldenseal root is not in this formula, but is found in C-Pel. Kid Cold is recommended for ear infections to be added to provide additional antibacterial support. In addition, 2 drops of Tea Tree oil on a small cotton ball inserted into the affected ear is both antimicrobial and pain relieving. With this combination antibiotics can be avoided.

Kid Cold can also be used as a preventative during the winter months to prevent colds and flu. For the elderly, and those with a compromised immune system, you can also add Lung Health twice daily to your protocol—this is a great alternative to flu shots. Do not underestimate the value of this formula for its name. The name was given because it acts safely and is well-tolerated.

In the first 24 hours it is recommended that a dosage be given every hour for optimum relief.

CORYZABORANT

This compound is an Immunostimulant, and is anti-viral, anticatarrhal (mucus removal ability) and a expectorant (has the ability to remove mucus as well). It is our number one product with chest and lung congestion. One of the most common ailments ever known is produced by the coryzaviruses. It can manifest itself as what is called a “head cold” or a “chest cold.” The age old treatment of plenty of fluids and bed rest continues to hold merit. With the addition of Coryzaborant and/or Kid Cold, frequent doses will stop the progression of a cold within 24 hours in almost every case. Coryzaborant provides both direct antiviral activity and immune enhancing properties to boost the innate inhibitory mechanisms against the wide range of RNA viruses associated with coryza and influenza.

The secondary emphasis includes decongestant and expectorant herbal actions to promote the elimination of mucus, and to prevent you from becoming too hot and inflamed from the infection. This will assist the body in lowering over-active fevers and inflammatory reactions by increasing immune activity.

This formula contains Osha Root, and with its volatile oils they are excreted through the lungs and will break up mucus congestion as well and provide an antiseptic effect. Direct contact on a sore throat with this formula by squirting the extract into the back of the mouth may initially provoke the soreness, but has shown to provide fast relief.

In a comparison, a cold is primarily an upper respiratory condition with congestion, sore throat, malaise, and low grade fever. Influenza is closely related, but more extreme with sudden onset, chills, fever, loss of appetite, severe weakness, muscular aches, restlessness, and sometimes nausea and vomiting. Both Coryzaborant and Kid Cold may be used in either case. One is not necessarily stronger than the other, the nature of the respiratory viruses is so varied that one formula may not work as well for one person, but work miraculously for someone else.

The best way to use herbal formulas is to start taking them at the first onset of any symptoms. However, many people will not seek help until they have been sick for a week or more.

Where have I seen this before?

If the cold or flu infection is not treated properly, it will often progress to a purulent stage in which yellowish mucus is produced by opportunistic bacteria which feed on the damaged tissues. In this case, INF-Fighter is the appropriate recommendation when the viral process has extended on and a secondary bacterial infection becomes evident.

LUNG HEALTH

This formula is an expectorant, Immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory and relieves irritation from mucus.

Lung Health contains herbs that have been used for strengthening the respiratory system throughout written history. It will benefit those with pulmonary congestion, dyspnea (shortness of breath), and persistent coughing. It can be used long term for chronic bronchitis, emphysema, tuberculosis, or pneumonia as a restorative compound. What many use it for is a preventative during the winter months, especially if they have a history of bronchitis. This combination will increase Lung Chi for those who are becoming debilitated and weakened from their chronic lung issue.

Annual bronchitis that occurs three years in a row, typically with longer duration, over time each episode is the primary sign of chronic bronchitis. This is also the result on an ongoing candida issue.

It is also very important to break this cycle as this will only worsen each year. The rehabilitation methods are required such Candida/Mold protocols, deep breathing exercises, aerobic-based exercise, and of course stress management. Also, avoid smoking or greatly cut down and only smoke a part of each cigarette, even second hand smoke, and avoid pollution or aromatic chemicals.

Someone with chronic bronchitis should consider relocation outside the city limits as well. Chronic bronchitis is a major contributor to mortality statistics, so even if someone is “feeling fine” after an episode of bronchitis. They really should quit smoking, which can be difficult, but can be done for preventative measures in order to avoid a relapse the up-coming year. The Stop Smoking formula helps smokers to actually quit.

Lung Health and Kid Cold taken together throughout the flu season has proven to be a successful combination as a preventative measure. We also give patients a bottle of Coryzaborant to take at the early signs of infection, if one arises.

The other formula we carry that assists this condition and helps to deal with the mucus and inflammation is Bronchial Health. It is primarily designed for respiratory congestion associated with allergies or asthma. Lung Health is indicated for respiratory congestion associated with infection. Either formula can be used for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), but Lung Health is probably the better choice because of its immunostimulation effects.

Bronchial Health

This formula is an expectorant, bronchodilator and aids in the removal of mucous and its irritation along with aiding a cough.

When a patient presents with the condition of asthma, an inherent weakness may be defined as the progression of an underactive metabolism within the respiratory system. This indicates that nutrients are not assimilated and wastes are not eliminated as efficiently as they should and results in the production of mucus and irritation of the nose and throat.

The buildup of this mucus and discharge is a natural effort of the lungs to expel toxic settlements before they thicken and reduce the size of the air passages.

Asthma is often a complicating factor associated with allergies, sinus and inner ear infections, tonsillitis and bronchitis. When the respiratory mucous membranes become irritated and inflamed, this buildup develops as an attempt by the mucous glands to trap the irritant source. If further irritation continues, hypersensitivity reactions contribute to the bronchial restriction, and eventually an “asthma attack” can occur.

Bronchial Health uses herbal knowledge with respiratory specific herbs to soothe bronchial irritation, increase expectoration, and relieve bronchial spasms. This will aid in relieving restricted air passages. So for those suffering with repeated attacks from asthma, the higher and more frequent dosages are necessary.

Stop Smoking

This compound is used as a nerve tonic, nerve relaxant, adaptogen (herbs that help with stress), and antispasmodic.

The habit of smoking is difficult to break or even to reduce the amount of smoking, but it can be done. We find that it can only be done if someone picks up other “positive” habits and activities. One habit replaces another—that is truly how it can be done. The chemical part of breaking this habit is provided through the Stop Smoking formula.

The Stop Smoking formula is designed to assist the person in the treatment of tobacco addiction by lessening the cravings for nicotine and alleviating the withdrawal symptoms associated with the emotional and neurological transition. This herbal blend consists of restorative nervine tonic and relaxant properties to improve strength of mind, physical endurance, recovery rate, and the relieving of nervous tension and supporting adrenal function.

Lobelia, provides specific therapeutic benefit. It is botanically similar to tobacco and contains an alkaloid, lobeline that is attracted to the same neuroreceptor sites as nicotine. However, Lobelia is non-addictive and is a very useful herb to use to stop smoking.

Tobacco when used daily for an extended time induces a toxic state. When the tobacco habit is stopped, the body begins to release stored nicotine from the adipose tissue. Much of the withdrawal symptoms are related to a dumping effect, the body’s attempt to heal itself. Nicotine may take up to 60 days to detoxify. It is released in surges and depends upon the efficiency of the liver and kidneys for elimination. After 30 days, there will be fewer nicotine surges with less intensity. Nicotine is also eliminated through the sweat glands. Sweating is the most powerful thing to do to rid yourself of nicotine. Sauna and steam room sessions will always be helpful. We have found seaweed wraps to be quite helpful.

Continued daily use is the key to using Stop Smoking, this is the best way to use the herbal product to reach your desired goal of stopping tobacco.

LYMPHATIC FORMULA

This formula is a lymphatic stimulant, anti-inflammatory, and Immunostimulant.

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels that assist in circulating bodily fluids. These vessels transport excess fluid away from the interstitial spaces and return it to the blood. The lymphatic system is considered the body’s garbage disposal system. This is the system that slows down when the liver becomes stagnant, which is what is happening in so many people today.

Blood impurities such as damaged cells, microbes, endotoxins, and other harmful poisons that become blood-borne are released into the lymphatics. The efficiency of this system has been demonstrated in studies where bacteria have been injected into a lymph node, and then the lymph collected from the duct, leading away from the node becoming virtually free of bacteria when tested.

The Lymphatic Formula stimulates reticuloendothelial function (thymus, spleen, lymphatics) and promotes lymph drainage throughout the body. It is ideal for specific lymphatic conditions such as lymphedema, fibrocystic breasts, tonsillitis, splenomegaly, and hepatic (liver) swelling. When toxins are removed from the blood to the lymph, phagocytes act upon them and release the burden of cellular absorption. It may take a more extensive protocol to relieve the lymphatic system and return this system back to its normal state.

When the lymphatic system is returned back to normal function you will see various skin disorders, inflammatory conditions, edema, chronic infections, recurring headaches, excessive mucus, fatigue and other signs of toxicity disappear. The lymphatic system and the liver/gallbladder system work hand in hand—one must function properly for the other to work correctly. This is why we always recommend liver flushes to aid in clearing up the lymphatic system.

INF-Fighter and Lymphatic Formula have been used successfully for many types of infections, even from spider bites.

Herbal Cough Remedy

The Herbal Cough Remedy is simple—just that. A formula designed to aid you when having a persistent cough with bronchial inflammation and aids you in reducing nighttime coughs that prevent sleep.

The formula is used for mucous buildup, expectorant and a nerve relaxant. It is derived from an archaic formula developed by the Cherokee Indians. It is soothing to a painful harsh cough and will assist expectoration of any underlying pulmonary congestion. This formula is effective for the raspiness and hoarseness related to laryngitis.

Herbal Cough Syrup compound is most importantly great for dry, irritating, non-productive coughs. It works great with stress induced asthma, neurogenic coughing, whooping cough, respiratory distress, and pulmonary issues.

It will help with the pain and heat of bronchitis and improve respiration, the resins help to stimulate throat and bronchial secretions by reflex excitation of the mucous glands and re-establish normal moisture.

Vermifuge

This compound is an anti-parasitic bitter tonic.

The growing diagnosis and treatment of parasitic infections has become a more common practice in natural medicine these days.

We are finding that more and more conditions are all related to one important thing—a parasitic infestation. With imbalance of intestinal flora along with helminthes worm infections or protozoa involvement is the primary indication for Vermifuge. There are also increasing cases of giardiasis—these are the small “unseen” infestations. There are the parasites that you can see and the parasites that are too small to notice—but they are there…

Parasites harm their hosts by causing local tissue irritation, interfering with bodily functions, and releasing toxins into the body. Most people don’t realize the enormous impact that parasites have on human beings worldwide. Almost all mis-diagnosed serious conditions are parasitic infections.

Diagnosis can be difficult, since stool samples are only testing a portion of the stool, while eggs and parasites can be in any part of the colon (the colon is 5-7 ft). Blood borne protozoa and Trematode flukes can isolate themselves in specific locations of the body and are dormant and active intermittently. Parasites are sensitive to acidic environments, this is where they flourish. Our body’s primary defense against these invaders is the HCL production by the stomach. People with insufficient HCL production and those taking antacids are prone to parasite infections. Anyone with chronic gastrointestinal distress, frequency of diarrhea, extreme appetite changes, unexplained weight loss, allergies, recurring headaches, chronic fatigue, depression, immunological disorders, and candida infections should be considered as possible symptoms of parasite infection.

Vermifuge is a combination of antiparasitic herbs that have been used throughout history and found to be therapeutically effective against a wide range of protozoa, bacterial intracellular parasites, and helminthic worm infestations. For intestinal parasites such as pinworm, roundworm, or tapeworm, it can be taken both orally and rectally by enema. The enema should be administered once daily for up to 7 days. With more difficult cases Chinese Wormwood can be added in conjunction with the Vermifuge.
